The Institute of Operations Management’s Annual Operational Excellence Conference is taking place on 11th May at Studley Castle, Warwickshire.

Delegates are invited from the broad spectrum of industries in which operations professionals operate – including, service industry, manufacturing, supply chain and distribution, public sector and third sector.

As we emerge from the global recession, operations and supply chain management professionals must navigate the significant, permanent changes within their organisations, in their profession, and in the economy. We can all learn something new; a new solution to an old problem, a new approach to an old process.

The IOM Operational Excellence Conference 2011 aims to help attendees meet these new challenges and prepare themselves for what’s next in their careers, highlighting lessons learned to present applicable best practices to move professionals and their organisations forward in the ‘new normal’.

The event features the main conference stream, plus a parallel workshop stream that will take place alongside it for the more practical learners amongst us.

In addition, a small exhibition area will provide a direct dialogue with current or potential suppliers; and after the day’s hard work is done, there will be a networking drinks hour before the formal evening dinner.
