The Institute's short course programmes provide framework for continuing professional development (CPD). Individuals can gain practicle knowledge of the most up-to-date tools and techniques, develop skills to improve their job performance and enhance their career prospects. Our qualifications offer professionals at every level and in every sector of industry the opportunity to gain professional recognition of their knowledge and experience. Nationally recognised and accredited by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual), these qualifications are designed to raise standards and to demonstrate both professional and personal achievement. The particular skills of humanitarian logistics professionals can be called upon at anytime, and in any part of the world. It is therefore imperative that their skills are contiunously updated. CILT has worked closely with Fritz Institute to develop specialised qualifications in this field. Throughout our series of lectures, conferences and semnairs CITL, IOM and PTRC provide the opportunity to meet and hear influential figures within each sector. Some are organised on an annual basis, such as the Transport Practitioners' Meeting and the CILT and IOM conferences whilst others are organised on behalf of clients, such as the Socttish Transport Applications Research conference for Transport Scotland. Many of the conferences include plenary and workshop sessions at allow speakers and delegates to maximise learning and networking opportunities.
