I want to share my experience with you...

“I wanted to share my experience with CPIM certification. I completed my CPIM certification when I was working as an ERP (BaaN) Consultant during the year 2003. The subject knowledge gave me a great advantage with my peers and I started promoting the CPIM body of knowledge whenever possible in my organisation. Our management team slowly started realising the benefits of APICS certification, and gave me an opportunity to work as the Supply Chain Coordinator for a supply chain optimisation project during 2005. I participated with great interest, and the intention of revising and updating my CPIM knowledge. The project was successful and the company started reaping the benefits immediately. I also gained knowledge in Balanced Score Card frame work by attending a few training workshops and self study. During 2006 I was promoted as ERP Project Manager. I lead the organisation’s ERP optimisation project successfully and the management team promoted me to lead the Planning Department in January, 2008. The Planning Department has three sections; Supply Chain Planning (S&OP, MPS, and MRP), Strategy Management, and Business Process Excellence. This is a senior management position directly reporting to the President.

Believe me, with many initiatives and challenges, the body of knowledge of CPIM has and is really helping me in my day to day job. As part of my job, I am S&OP process owner, BSC coordinator, and custodian for the Business Process Excellence project. I sincerely thank APICS for helping me to build a successful career. I consider becoming CPIM designated as the foundation for my career. In fact, the company I work for now advertise all supply chain positions with CPIM as a highly desirable qualification, and I make sure that our company sponsors CPIM for interested aspirants."
