Hi All,
This is my first post here. I would like to know the Caree benefits of CSCP certification. I'm studying MBA in India and looking for bettering my prospects by getting into SCM.

Regards,

Hi Neo,

A quick introduction - I am the Learning Materials Co-ordinator for the Institute of Operations Management (IOM). We have recently become an International Associate of APICS and as such we are now facilitating membership, certifications, events, seminars and workshops in Great Britain.

The CSCP programme can advance your career by distinguishing you from the competition in the workplace. Only the most well trained, well educated professionals will be sought after by employers and valued by organisations. Some corporations are now requiring APICS CSCP as a pre-requisite for promotion and/or employment.

You distinguish yourself by proving your commitment to continued education that will help sharpen your skills. The CSCP program gives you the opportunity to master supply chain management and all it's facets - and remain on the cutting edge of new development and concepts.

With APICS CSCP you will be an asset to your organisation, as you will have:
1. the proven knowledge and organisational skills to strategically streamline operations
2. the tools to effectively manage global supply chain activities where suppliers, plants, distributors and customers are located around the world
3. the ability to interact with existing resources and your ERP system to increase the efficiency of the workplace environment
4. the skills to create consistence and foster collaboration through best practices, common terminology and corporate-wide communication.

You can get more information here: www.iomnet.org.uk/education-and-training/APICS-CSCP

I hope this has been useful to you Neo, and best of luck with your continuing professional development!
