Details
The appetite for taking business risks will clearly vary between organisations, but exposure to some degree of risk is both inevitable and necessary in the search for innovative business solutions. If business risk exposure is inevitable it is therefore essential that management are capable of assessing potential risks facing the organisation and developing appropriate strategies and plans to mitigate risk through elimination, isolation and protection.
This two-day course follows on from the Introduction to Risk Management session.
Day One
The first day covers the development of a business risk policy that is consistent in supporting the overall strategic objectives of the business. This will be followed by a practical case study exercise.
Day Two
This will develop a company risk register based on the case study outcomes. The hands-on theme continues with the development of risk associated KPI’s and associated contingency planning.
Topics covered in this course include:
• Developing a business risk policy
• Risk objectives and targets
• Strategic business risk assessment
• Company risk registers and associated management procedures
• Risk management KPI’s
• Contingency planning
Suitable for:
This course is particularly suitable for managers who want practical tools and techniques to manage business risk in a structured manner.
