The home of Deuchars IPA and Caledonian 80/-, Caledonian Brewery is now Edinburgh’s sole surviving brewery. A team of highly skilled brewers and passionately dedicated individuals carry on the tradition of brewing ale in a Victorian brew house that remains relatively unchanged since its opening in 1869. The visit will kick off at 6pm with a talk from the Operations Manager on the planning and operations function for a ‘live’ product, including how the business responds to the changes in demand profile for keg and bottled beer products, followed by Q&A time. We will then take a 40 minute tour of the brewery and finish up with a chance to network and sample some of Caledonian’s beers in the Sample Cellar. Speaker:
