Everything you wanted to know but were too afraid to ask!

Provisional venue - Cranfield Management Development Centre, Cranfield University

As companies and organisations focus on their core value streams, outsourcing is popularly seen as a strategic option to use others to carry out non-core activities ranging from facilities management through call centres to their entire fulfilment process.

This “Intelligent Outsourcing” event brings together a number of experts with experience using and delivering outsourcing in the UK, Offshore and via bespoke “shared service” operations. The event will provide case studies of outsourcing but most importantly through questions and answers, delegates will be able to get under the surface and understand the challenges and myths of outsourcing through question and debate. If you want to know why you shouldn’t outsource or why you should and where is best to go to then register now. The event promises to be informative and lively.

Who is the event for?
The event is for those responsible for the outsourcing decision and managing the outsourced operation including change leaders, operations directors, operations managers, manufacturing managers, purchasing managers, logistics managers and supply chain managers.

Why attend?
The event provides leading thinking on outsourcing from experts across the spectrum of UK operations, including manufacturing and service. The presentations will provide an overview of the impact of outsourcing and give detail processes that companies have undertaken in considering whether to outsource parts of their operation both in manufacture and service. Through the forums delegates will have the opportunity get responses to questions from a range of experts, a format that will be both informative and lively. Delegates will leave with an understanding of the process of outsourcing and insight to the key decisions required.

Is outsourcing right for my organisation?
The event has a balance of presentations from those who have successfully outsourced including those who decided to outsource locally through to those who examined the total cost and impact on flexibility and decided that outsourcing or offshoring was inappropriate. The event provided delegates with a means of embarking on an informed decision making process.
